Creative Team Roundup and Giveaway Winner

Today marks the "one month from the end point" of the 10 month term of the members of my Creative Team.   I am so in love with these women and their creations.  I thought I'd flash back to some of my favorites of each of their posts.  Each post has a video or step out tutorial, and the caption under each photo takes you straight to that artist's blog.  Enjoy!

Marit Barentsen
As many of you know, the journey of immigrants, and especially refugees and the undocumented, is near and dear to my heart.  So I absolutely loved Marit's beautiful fold out card, with immigration as its theme.
Karen Gaunt
I used to work in old books all the time.  I was reminded of that by this gorgeous post and tutorial by Karen Gaunt.
Sherry Canino
Sherry Canino used lots of different stencils to create these positive affirmation tags.  What a great idea to make them and have a bunch handy for giveaways, gifts, and happy mail!

Denise Alloca
Check out this beautiful canvas that Denise created, using different stenciling techniques and lots of love for her daughter.
Lizzy Wurmann
I love the way Lizzy Wurmann assembles her collages.  She used Citra Solv to great effect in this beautiful creation.
Kristin Van Valkenburgh

Paint Your Own Born to Be Wild Canvas - Denise Alloca Creative Team Thursday

When I received Jessica’s Born to Be Wild Animals stencil it reminded me of my daughter, not that she’s a wild child!  That and she loves animals and has an incredible spirit.  For this Design Team contribution I decided to make a canvas for my daughter Erin.  Using three of Jessica Sporn’s stencils I created a bright, positive piece of artwork for Erin. I started off painting my canvas in bright colors, then I used a texture plate to add interest.

Next I used a reductive stenciling technique that gives a subtle and interesting look to the image.  A little detailing with Stabillo pencils and water, and done.

I hope you enjoy the video!

Materials:
10x10 Canvas
Acrylic paints
Jessica Sporn’s Stencils found at:

DIY Art Journal Book (Part 2) - Creative Team Thursday with Denise Alloca

Finishing the book!  In today's Creative Team Post I picked up where I left off; the inside of the book.  You can see Part I here!

Watch as I fumble my way through completing my book.  Using Jessica’s stencil Hearts Flowers and More,  I cleaned up the inside of my book creating end pages.  A few finishing touches and it was done!

Now there are completed pages and pages ready for more of Jessica Sporn’s stencils and stamps!  SO enjoy the process, and create a mess!  See what happens when you're not afraid to make mistakes!  Or watch me make a few!

Supplies:

Assorted Papers
Deco Arts Matte Medium
Double Stick Tape
Deco Arts Interference Gold

Acrylic Paint
            Titan Buff
            White
            Teal
