So here's a rather long update.
I did participate in Inktober on my Instagram feed - channeling some of my frustration in my journal and practicing my lettering.

But what really got me going was being tapped by Lin-Manuel Miranda's licensing company to design the artwork for merchandise to raise money for Puerto Rico. The island is in dire condition and needs our help.
For this reason, I, and other artists, are coming together to auction art to raise money for the Hispanic Federation, which is on the forefront of raising money for relief and rebuilding. The auction starts on 10-30 - and I hope you will all participate! New items are being added every day, and by 10-30, it will be super exciting. I hope we will raise lots of funds for a great cause.
That's it for now. Let me know what you've been up to!

The news is exhausting at the moment. Over there you've got a President mad as a box of frogs ( IMHO) and over here we've got Brexit. And frankly it's catastrophic. On top of that shootings and weather and it would be quite understandable if we all just dug holes and climbed into them to sleep for 100 years. My blogging mojo is not back to par and my reading habits are slipping too. But lovely to see your work as always.
ReplyDeleteSo good to hear that I'm not alone! I would love to climb into that hole, but then I think about my children and their children, and I feel like I just must press on. And so we do what we can. Hugs to you across the pond. (And yes, he is indeed mad as a box of frogs - what a wonderful expression!)
