If I have leftover paint on my palette, I scribble it into my art journal. Sometimes I wash it into a background... other times I doodle with it.
Over time, I embellish those doodles with more leftover paint.
Building up layers over time with leftover paint is a great way to prevent waste and is a "no pressure" way to make art journal pages. And invariably, the result makes me happy! What do you do with your leftovers - whether they are scraps of paper or paint?
Your comments make me so happy and let me know you were here.
I read and treasure every comment and will happily answer any questions as soon as I can.

Such powerful and happy flowers...each of them is a treasure itself!! So sweet how they grow out of a nutshell and then the arrangement in the pottery! I too love to use all my leftover paints on my stash papers and in my art journal pages too..The pile is getting sooooo big, that I think it´s time to use up all those funny papers now in my art!! You art is always so inspiring to me...tks for that! Mix It Monthly ♥ Conny

ReplyDeletegorgeous still life bouquet Jessica!
ReplyDeleteLove these bright, cheery flowers. My leftover paint ends up on a piece of watercolor paper which is later used for collaging.
ReplyDeleteI do the same as you! However with some of my dried paint I let completely dry then glue it to the page in it's gnarly form and sculpt it with tissue over top to form faces...or use as texture! Similar to paper mache!
