Packing and purging are all I seem to be doing lately. (I am moving this summer - only one town over but still so much work.) I just had to take a mental health pause and work in my journal.
This lady appeared on top of some previous play with my Namaste stencil. (Read to the end for a giveaway of this stencil!)
The mandala made lovely hair, don't you think?
The lines on Pam Carriker's "Your Thoughts" stencil created just enough interest on her shirt.
I was playing around with words to journal around her and, with the jumble of emotions I'm having right now, my mind was a blank. I just felt gratitude at having stolen time to make some marks and get my hands dirty and sticky with something besides dust and packing tape!
Lo and behold, Pam's stencil had the words "Intentionally Left Blank" on it. PERFECT!
I love how these words leave her thoughts, and my thoughts, up to the imagination of the beholder.
Here are three other projects I did with the Namaste stencil.
And this French Memo Board transformation:
The beauty of stencils is that you can use parts of them or all of them. That's why I love them so much.
GIVEAWAY: Please let me know in the comments how you might use the Namaste stencil and I will pick one random commenter to win the stencil! Comment by Sunday, 6/22 at 9PM ET to be eligible to win!
At the moment I only own two stencils...so I am very new to stencil...however if I had that stencil....I would like to pick out bits and pieces of the pattern and switch them up on a page to see what transpires!!! Making my own pattern!

ReplyDeleteThanks Jessica, you are so generous. My daughter is a Yogi and is always asking me to find something for her clothing. I'm inspired to use the namaste stencil to make her a top with the stencil, and also pretty memo boards and of course use in my journal - thanks for the chance!!

DeleteI'm actually looking for a stencil for a bedroom wall.
ReplyDeleteJessica, I am in awe of these creations. I would never have thought to use the stencil for her hair and the sentiment is too funny and yet apt! I am in love with that sweet elephant.
ReplyDeletefabulous use of the stencil Jessica but I am totally in love with that lady and her hair! I would take parts from the stencil to create my own "flowers" etc. I love to do that and find new shapes from stencils. Happy PPF, and keep on taking a break now and then to art:)
ReplyDeleteThe Namaste stencil makes a wonderful wreath. I would use it for ATCs...you can never have enough fab backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteI may use the Namaste stencil to add texture in the background or play with some white detail to enhance what is already on the page/canvas. Namaste.

ReplyDeleteI will add these patterns to my project to create texture. I can see myself creating a new mixed media piece using the stencil and the word "namaste". My budget is still way too small to buy pretty stencils and stamps.I will add the pattern you used on the memo board to make a tablecloth. I might use it to give some new life to my t-shirts. I can totally stamp "Namaste" on a T-shirt. Oh, I am not forgetting the greeting cards i can make.. OMG, I am drooling and dreaming about projects.... and the blogposts I can make with all those fun projects in bindudesigns.blogspot.ca.
ReplyDeleteLove this stencil!
ReplyDeleteI would use this stencil probably like you as hair. That was a neat idea.
