Dream, Resolve, Embrace

 Every resolution starts with a dream...


and ends with an embrace.


A head to dream... a heart to resolve ... and open arms to embrace the dream
 and bring it to life.


Linking to One Little Word (Resolution), Pin & Tack (Spark Your Creativity - Anything Goes), and TIOT (Something Stitched, Real or Faux).

Supplies used:  old book paper and other ephemera for collage, fluid acrylics, alcohol inks (splatters), faux stitching stamps, Balzer Designs herringbone stencil, silks, washi tape, tissue paper collaged onto aluminum foil for the flowers (inspired by Christy Tomlinson's lesson in Lifebook 2013), journaling pen and cardstock.

    This is so gorgeous!!! I don't understand how you did the flowers but they are awesome. Love everything about this page!

      I collaged tissue paper and old book pages onto aluminum foil and cut out circles for the background of the flowers. I cut out strips to make spirals for the insides. The aluminum foil makes them very easy to mold and gives them texture!

    This is beautiful Jessica!.. But I had to look twice at the stitching? Is that done in pen?!! I've not the time, most typically, to go dragging my sewing machine out, but I'm tickled with the idea of just DRAWING/STAMPING the stitches on!! I can handle THAT! (0; I don't know what N.J. is looking like right now, but N.Y. is looking very white and snowy right now. Hope you're staying in, and/or at least keeping warm today! ~tina

      Hi Tina - The stitching is done with a stamp! I do have a sewing machine that I got for Christmas, but I haven't taken it out of the box yet. I love seeing sewing in journals, and it's something I want to embrace in 2013, but not yet!
