There are many tutorials on the web about National
Geographic magazines and Citrasolv where I learned this technique but,
I've never seen how it works with stencils so I had to try. I hope you
get inspired to do it, you can get beautiful and unexpected results.
Citrasolv is a cleaner and degreaser, which will
remove the ink creating wonderful backgrounds that you can use for your
collages.
We'd love to see what you create with this technique! Be sure to share it with us on Pinterest and tag us using #JessicaSpornDesigns #CreativeTeam

ReplyDeleteThank you for letting us know. We had a small snafu with YouTube. Kindly try again; you should be able to access the video now. We appreciate your patience!
DeleteWow Lizzy! This is a great tutorial. I've read and heard about this technique, but haven't tried it. I love watching your process doing the technique, and also how you assembled your collage. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jessica!
ReplyDeleteI've done the Citrisolv technique but never used the papers. Thanks for this idea. I think I will make some collages using them now!
ReplyDeleteAnother thing you can do if you already have pages treated with Citrasolv is to put a stencil under the page and then gently rub over the top with sandpaper. You'll get a similar design.
ReplyDeleteI've seen it done many times but never like this!! Wonderful with the stencils. I was always fascinated with the process and the beauty that developed by bringing up the ink!! I almost got some citrasolv to try it and then didn't bother!!
ReplyDeleteHugs Giggles
Beautiful Lizzy!!
