Collage Papers using Citrasolv and Stencils with Lizzy Wurmann Creative Team


There are many tutorials on the web about National Geographic magazines and Citrasolv where I learned this technique but,  I've never seen how it works with stencils so I had to try. I hope you get inspired to do it, you can get beautiful and unexpected results.


Citrasolv is a cleaner and degreaser, which will remove the ink creating wonderful backgrounds that you can use for your collages.
 

For this technique I used various stencils by Jessica Sporn.

    Wow Lizzy! This is a great tutorial. I've read and heard about this technique, but haven't tried it. I love watching your process doing the technique, and also how you assembled your collage. Gorgeous!

    I've done the Citrisolv technique but never used the papers. Thanks for this idea. I think I will make some collages using them now!

    Another thing you can do if you already have pages treated with Citrasolv is to put a stencil under the page and then gently rub over the top with sandpaper. You'll get a similar design.

    I've seen it done many times but never like this!! Wonderful with the stencils. I was always fascinated with the process and the beauty that developed by bringing up the ink!! I almost got some citrasolv to try it and then didn't bother!!
